**** Please note that due to Covid-19 changes to procedures around appointments and consultations change with the Government guidelines in place.

Appointments

Consultations are by appointment and can be made over the telephone or in person at reception during opening hours.

The surgery offers extended hours from 18:30 - 20:00 on all week days except Thursdays, please ask the receptionists when booking if you require a "late appointment".

Please be aware we operate a walk in blood clinic Monday to Friday 08:30 - 13:30 at Sudbury Surgery.

Sometimes it may seem that someone who arrived after you is being called in before you. This may be because the patient is going into a pre-booked appointment or an alternative service.

If you think you have missed your name being called then please enquire at reception.

Current update.

To allow us to keep the patients and staff as safe as possible we have amended our way of handling appointment booking:

All appointments with a GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner are initiated by a telephone consultation.  If you require a face to face appointment this will be arranged by the triaging GP.

Telephone appointments can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance, you do not need to call on the day.

On the day appointments are available for medically urgent matters, which can not wait for a routine appointment. You will initially receive a telephone call from the doctor or Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

Practice Nurses

Current Update.

Aerosol generating procedures e.g. ear syringing, Spirometry and also face to face Asthma reviews are currently not being performed at the surgery .  All other procedures are being provided via the usual booking method.  To keep the patient and staff safe, please do not attend the surgery if you have COVID symptoms.

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
